This scholarship would mean the allocation of an amount that would allow you to avoid responsibilities outside of your university studies, and the option of doing an internship abroad.

Last Thursday, March 21, an event was held at our firm in memory of Lucas Norambuena, a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the Diego Portales University in 2021, who died a few weeks ago. The creation of a scholarship in his honor was also announced during the occasion.

The Lucas Norambuena Scholarship, through the UDP Law Alumni Foundation, will be aimed at students in the first or second year of the degree with academic merit and socioeconomic conditions that can seriously hinder academic progression and the development of their training in the Faculty.

This recognition would mean, for the UDP Law student, the allocation of an amount that would allow them to avoid responsibilities external to their university studies, and the option of doing an internship abroad.

“The sudden departure of our beloved Lucas has moved us deeply. These last few weeks have not been easy for any of the members of az, not being able to count on his physical presence among us. However, we know that his spirit remains with us in every step we take”, these were part of the words in his memory.

“The Lucas Norambuena Scholarship is a vibrant tribute to the values that defined Lucas’s life, which we consider essential, too. It represents an unwavering commitment to excellence and service, reflected in attributes such as solidarity, empathy and perseverance. Lucas was a model of improvement, whose passion and joy radiated in every action, inspiring others to achieve their dreams with courage and optimism […] His spirit of camaraderie and his ability to unite people left an indelible mark on our community, and it is with these values in mind that we seek to honor his memory through this scholarship, providing opportunities for those who embody these same principles.”

“May the memory and legacy of Lucas Norambuena continue to inspire us all on our path,” these were the words that ended the day.
