Ramiro Araya is a member of our firm’s Public Law and Regulated Markets Group.

He joined az in 2025, becoming part of the firm’s Public Law and Regulated Markets Group. Ramiro focuses his professional practice on complex litigation. He has represented major national companies in civil, administrative, and environmental disputes before ordinary and special courts. He has extensive experience in arbitration and dispute resolution.

Ramiro specializes in representing clients in complex civil, environmental, and administrative litigation.

In the environmental and administrative fields, he has participated in high-profile cases, actively intervening as a leader or member of multidisciplinary teams before various regulatory agencies, the Comptroller General of the Republic, special courts, and the Supreme Court, developing judicial, extrajudicial, and communication strategies based on a comprehensive view of the conflict and a deep knowledge of the law.

In the civil sphere, he has represented clients in the real estate, financial, and educational sectors in litigation and arbitration proceedings brought by or against individuals and the State of Chile in matters of contracts, damages, insurance, companies, and bankruptcy proceedings with high media exposure.

Defense of a major clothing brand representative in cases involving unfair competition and contractual civil liability.

Representation of a foundation in the filing of environmental and urban planning actions, claims, and complaints for the protection of nature sanctuaries.

Defense of a real estate company in sanction proceedings brought by SEREMI and MINVU for the execution of projects on properties governed by DL 3516.
