We invite you to read the DF MAS publication on the recent partnership between our partner Rodrigo Albagli and legaltech AdmiralOne.
A few weeks ago, Carey joined Magnar. Now, the move is being repeated at another of the city’s major law firms: Albagli Zaliasnik (az) has crossed over into software. Its managing partner and founder, Rodrigo Albagli, purchased a stake in AdmiralONE—a Chilean legaltech company specializing in the automation of governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) systems—and joined as a strategic partner and member of the board of directors.
With this move, az becomes the first Chilean law firm to form this type of partnership with a GRC platform specializing in compliance.
The firm explains that the operation seeks to scale a platform designed for large corporations in highly regulated sectors. AdmiralONE, which was recognized as “Rising Legal Tech of the Year” in San Francisco, focuses on digitizing critical processes, from money laundering prevention to data protection, generating traceable evidence for boards and regulators.
With operations in Chile and immediate plans in Colombia and Peru, Albagli’s entry aims to consolidate a regional model. “Latin America needs to move from declarative compliance to executable compliance. That can only be achieved with robust technological infrastructure,” says the lawyer.
