On Tuesday, September 15, our Director of New Technologies and AI, Juan Pablo González, participated in the webinar “Operating in LatAm: Data Protection,” organized by Alliott Global Alliance (AGA) as part of its series of events on the challenges of operating in Latin America.
During the session, the various regulatory frameworks governing personal data protection in Brazil, Chile, and Colombia were analyzed, addressing their key differences and risks, recent and upcoming regulatory changes, and the practical challenges companies face when managing data across different jurisdictions.
The event brought together representatives from AGA member firms in the three countries and was moderated by Jorge Gavilán, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Sodexo Latin America, who provided an insider’s perspective on managing the region’s various data protection regimes.
