Juan Pablo is a member of our firm’s New Technologies and AI team.
Juan Pablo González has focused his professional practice on technology regulation and advising public and private institutions, in addition to his work as an academic. He holds certifications in compliance and regulatory risk management systems, cybersecurity, personal data protection, and artificial intelligence.
Practice Areas
He has played an active role in the development of public policy. He served as Head of Legal Affairs at the Cybersecurity Coordination Office of the Undersecretariat of the Interior, where he led various legislative initiatives related to cybercrime, cybersecurity, and technical standards in regulated industries.
He also actively participated in Chile’s process of aligning with the Budapest Convention and implementing certain measures under the National Cybersecurity Policy, as well as other regulations related to the digital transformation of the government and artificial intelligence.
He is the Director of the Certificate Program in Technology and Regulation at UDD and a visiting professor at various national and international universities, teaching courses on cybersecurity, personal data protection, and technology regulations. Finally, due to his contributions in these areas, he serves as a guest expert for EU Cyber Net.
