“Chambers and Partners” and “The Legal 500” are considered amongst some of the most important rankings when evaluating law firms and their associates. These two prestigious legal rankings were recently published, and have recognized Albagli Zaliasnik as one of the best firms in Latin America. The legal team at Albagli Zaliasnik has been distinguished as leaders in their practice areas.
Chambers and Partners
On Friday, September 16th, “Chambers and Partners” held a Latin American awards ceremony in Miami, where our firm was honored as one of the most important in areas such as General Litigation, Economic Litigation, Intellectual Property and Life Sciences.
In individual categories, the prestigious publication recognized our partner, Gabriel Zaliasnik in the field of Litigation. This helped rank him as one of the six best criminal lawyers in Chile and put Albagli Zaliasnik within the four leading firms in Chile, according to peers and clients. This recognition was also given in the General Litigation area (Dispute Resolution Category).
Meanwhile, the ranking highlighted our partner Ariela Agosín in the Intellectual Property category as well as senior associate at AZ, Eugenio Gormaz in the Life Sciences category. Eugenio was recognized within the “Associates to watch in Life Sciences” area, which highlights associates starting to emerge in their practice area of expertise in the country evaluated.
The ranking is published annually every September and nominates major firms and the top lawyers out of a total of 20 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The Legal 500
Additionally, in early September the results of the prestigious ranking “The Legal 500 Latin American 2016,” were announced. It included Albagli Zaliasnik in the list of top law firms in the region, in four practice areas: Antitrust, Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions, Litigation and Intellectual Property.
They also recognized the work of our partners Rodrigo Albagli, Alvaro Rosenblut, Gabriel Zaliasnik, , and lastly Ariela Agosín, who was noted in the category of “Leading Lawyers” in IP.
It is important to note that The Legal 500 provides an annual analysis of the global legal market, where law firms are evaluated in 106 jurisdictions. The ranking is based on a series of criteria, highlighting law firms and their practice areas that have provided the most effective and innovative legal counsel. Finally, both law firms and individual awards are chosen based on reports from the legal offices, client interviews, and field research.
It is a huge accomplishment for Albagli Zaliasnik, the partners, and associates to be acknowledged again in “The Legal 500 Latin American 2016,” and in turn be chosen continuously since 2006 to date by prominent rankings such as Chambers and Partners.
