Francisco Alarcón is a member of our firm’s Public Law and Regulated Market Group.

His practice focuses on constitutional, administrative, antitrust, and sector-specific regulatory law. He has an outstanding track record in the strategic planning and handling of multisectoral litigation and highly complex disputes, both in and out of court.

Francisco regularly advises domestic and international clients in various industries, including telecommunications, technology, life sciences, finance, energy, and mining. In the academic sphere, he serves as a professor in the Department of Civil Procedural Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso (PUCV).

In constitutional matters, he has taken on high-profile cases, including litigation in which a major mining company challenged the constitutionality of a legal provision that authorized disproportionate tax assessments.

He has also served as part of the legal defense team in constitutional impeachment proceedings against prominent judicial and political officials. In the regulatory sphere, Francisco provides ongoing counsel to companies in the gas and life sciences sectors regarding investigations conducted by the National Economic Prosecutor’s Office, and leads the defense of various pharmaceutical companies in administrative and judicial sanction proceedings involving highly complex technical and legal issues.

His experience also includes the administrative and judicial defense of a major warehousing company against complex health and urban planning issues, as well as the design and execution of the legal strategy for all parties involved in one of the most high-profile cases in the financial and investment fund markets in recent times.
