Thus, the laws that allow teleworking are still in force and applicable, provided that the functions are compatible with this modality.

On March 23, 2022, a decree of the Ministry of Health (Minsal) was published in the Official Gazette which determined the extension of the health alert for Covid-19 in the country, postponing it from March 31 to August 31, 2023.

The measure will allow resources to continue to be allocated, both to vaccination and to the necessary safeguards that the State must provide to combat contagion.

Among the funds that will continue to be allocated are the rental of sanitary residences and a series of special operations, among others.

The Minsal stated that “there are still challenges to control the spread and effects caused by SARS-CoV-2 in Chile, due to the fact that there is no effective antiviral treatment, widely available, capable of counteracting the inflammatory response of the virus, so prevention continues to be the most suitable mechanism to counteract it“.
