Victims of violent crime do not report the facts

Our director Loreto Hoyos talked to Radio Bio Bio about the so-called security crisis that our country is experiencing.

The security crisis is prompting urgent measures to combat organized crime and, in the midst of the debate, Radio Bío Bío consulted our Director of the Criminal Group, Loreto Hoyos, about the current mechanisms of the criminal justice system to protect victims who reveal the facts.

He also emphasizes the shortcomings of the criminal justice system with respect to the protection of citizens when they report a crime, “Disclosure must be protected institutionally, a program is not enough, isolated sectorial measures that can protect or that can be effective in a specific case are not enough, but they are not effective in the face of a phenomenon“, he concludes.
